We’ve been underway on the construction of our new home for more than four month now and are making good progress. As confirmed earlier this week, key milestones have been satisfactorily achieved with piling works for the foundations 90 per cent complete, the first parts of the steel frame in place, and the laying of sections of terracing for the south stand well in hand. As such, the stadium is starting to appear in front of our eyes.
This means that sketch artist John Webb has more to draw. John, a member of London Urban Sketchers, has taken on the role of regularly visiting the site to fill his sketchbook as the work progresses. John has released these sketches of the ongoing work.
We hope to have an exhibition of John’s work at the new stadium when it opens. In the meantime, if you would like to see more of his work, do take a look at his website at johnawebb.weebly.com.
